MTNL IPTV in New Delhi

all you guys who have MTNL IPTV along with triband plans which entitle you to UPTO 2 MBPS speeds, kindly comment on:

1. speeds you are getting on you internet connection!
Speed Test

(use a fast browser like firefox, IE posted slower speeds than firefox)

2. the line speed you have been alloted! (3072 kbps downstream)?

this is because when i had IPTV (now i don't) i had poor speeds of 240kbps only for plans of upto 2mbps.
i just wanted to check on other users (in DELHI)

Pretty bad decision when they r charging the same........i would never go for IPTV in that case.......i think they should provide additional dedicated telephone line for IPTV, rather than capping the speed to 256 kbps

After reading that ,There is no use of plans like 749NU plan ,If I go for IPTV.This is really bad on MTNL's part of capping the speed if you need IPTV as well .

ahhhh they want to restrict bandwidth per home..... such misers....if they dont have the bandwidth why did they start off with the plans in the first place.....whats the point of having a 749NU...... if they are really going to limit the d/l speed they should reduce the rental as well for the ADSL....i guess it is better you take another telephone connection... will cost you a bit more for the installation charges...but once the installation charges are done then you can basically live on the Incoming 150 monthly plan and enjoy both the features....dude....where do they get such wierd ideas....:wall::wall::wall:

Yes any triband connection's bandwidth is capped to 256kbps if one opts for IPTV (as of now) so even if that person has a 749NU plan or any other plan which entitles that person with a 2mbps bandwidth will eventually get 256kbps only .@coolingruns112where have you heard that from ? i am a user of myway iptv since almost 3 months and before the installation they did mention it to me that the broadband bandwidth will be capped to 256kbps.Is this something recent ? any idea when will it be achieved in Delhi in particular?
