Hi guys..First off id like to thanks this forum cause of you guys i knew abt the mtnl 256 UL plan n changed it !! thank you.. n secondly this is my first post but ive been looking around for details n found these forums really helpfull !ive been trying this for over a month now with upds and downs.. im really fed up now.. did a lot of stuff sometimes it was right n now its finally now working plz help if u can..now heres the problem:ive got a MTNL Sterlite Modem SAM-100 and ive connected it to a Netgear Access point.Now after much research ive learnt that i need to forward ports from MTNL Modem to Netgear Access Point (from Modem configuration i.e. from 192.168.1.1) after that i need to forward ports from Netgear Access Point to my laptop (from Access points configuration i.e. 10.0.0.1).which i did and it was workin till i had to reset my mtnl connection due to some problems after which im unable to fwd ports again..now id like to know where im going wrong, for tht am gonna explain wht i did -1. went to 192.168.1.1 > Advanced > Port Forwarding > Custom Port Forwarding2. Under this page i did the following:Changed my connection to PPPoe (my internet connection that is)Application: Protocol: Source Ip Address: 'my modems ipSource Netmask: Destination IP Adress: 'my Netgear Access Point ip addDestination Netmask: 'already written not editableDestination Port Start: 'my Bittorrent portDestination Port End: 'my Bittorrent portDestination Port Map: 'my Bittorrent portIve dont this with hit n trial n its not working. apart from this some error was popping up saying u need to define lan clients so i defined one not sure wht it was but still did it1. 192.168.1.1 > Advanced > Lan Clients2. Under this page i made the following settings:Select LAN Connection: 'only option from the drop down listEnter IP Address: 'my access points ip addHostname: 'left blank, tried to put in subnet mask 255.255.255.0, didnt workMAC Adress: 'my access points mac, picked it from my netgears config page (10.0.0.1)THIS IS ALL I DID IN MY MODEM CONFIGURATION. WHT DID I DO WRONG HERE ?Following is what i did in 10.0.0.1 (my netgears config page)1. 10.0.0.1 > Advanced - Port Forwarding > Add Custom Service2. Under this page i made following settings:Service Name : ' any nameService Type : Startign Port : ' My Bittorrents PortEnding Port: ' My Bittorrents portServer IP Address: ' MY Laptops Static IPI Applied these setting and its not working guys !!PLz help m goin crazzyy !! wht am i doin wrong...i also tried to use random ports but ntn is workingseriously NY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED
