Now rolling back process
Removed the router
Connected modem directly to machine
While trying to access 192.168.1.1 (Modem IP) failed ... i guess the DHCP disabling thing did this
So i tried to Manually enter IP address and DNS IP
i tried to access Modem page (192.168.1.1) ..Again it failed

What IP addr + DNS did you enter?

Did you configure you NIC/Lan Adapter properly?

Like this (do disable DHCP first!):

You're currently (at the time of posting) on PPPoE mode, right?

You're currently (at the time of posting) on PPPoE mode, right? YESAnd LAN settings ..same config ... only change was DNS server entry ... used 59.185.3.11 and 59.185.3.12

All right :)

PART A

AIM: Disable DHCP

1. Post results from 'ipconfig /all'

2. Go to 192.168.1.1 > DHCP > No DHCP > Apply > Restart
( Step 4, then Step 3, if you're following this guide: https://broadband.forum/mtnl-broadband/49401-t-kd-318eui-ut300r2u-shift/ )

3. Change LAN config exactly like this:

4. Ping 192.168.1.2 Reply? Yes? No? RTO (Req. timeout)? Unreachable?
Other than 'Yes' --> Check LAN conf. again --> Try

5. Ping 192.168.1.1 Reply? Yes? No? RTO (Req. timeout)? Unreachable?
Other than 'Yes' --> Check LAN conf. again --> Try

6. Modem page working/reachable?

7. Post results from 'ipconfig /all' again!

Post ^above results.

Buddy ! Agreed that router has a firewall... Do you think that itself is enough to protect you from any threats around the internet?? If then, i guess you are wrong... If you are completely dependent then you need to do a cross check... A software firewall keeps you UPDATED and protected from all the latest threats... be it any kind of an attack... I have already given the complete details and procedure of working in a bridged... I have been using the same for a quite a number of years.

WTF , This is not what you posted earlier , heres your qoute -

Yes, It does... It opens up all your ports.. so you are exposed.. Install a firewall to remain protected.

^ and this is simply untrue , it doesnt open any ports , all ports are blocked by the routers firewall , thats all , now continue with the main topic

Chill guys. :) Lets remain with the main topic as everyone will notice Praful has still not found a solution to his problem.@Praful BTW have you tried the link that Krish_88 gave somewhere above?

Dint find the link that Krish_88 has posted but if you are talking about this ( T-KD 318EUI/UT300R2U - Shift to Bridged Mode )
then i have followed each step by step .... Kreacher10 : Can you tell me how to configure my modem and router in PPPoe Mode ... will try using your method. .. i have read your blog for configuring MTNL with Linksys...
could you let me know for MTNL with Belkin
My belkin router config for PPPoE mode ( Dont know how to post screenshot in this.... hence google docs )

If you're around, have a look at these screenshots. Read through the entire post carefully.

Post your line stats, by visiting tkd's page, which should look something like this :

NOTE - you will be NOTable to access the tkd modem through its web interface, after you set mode to bridged, take a screen shot of the line stats page before you do anything.

CONFIG 1 - recommended

For bridged mode -

1. Connect tkd to system, set mode to bridged.

2. Now remove the lan cable from pc, and connect the same cable to the WAN port of the Belkin, remember this is important, you need to connect the lan cable from tkd to the WAN port of the belkin, if you connect it to any the of the LAN ports on the belkin it will NOT work.
3. Connect another lan cable from the LAN port of belkin to the lan port of system.
4. Now open up belkin's interface

Click NEXT

Click APPLY changes, your router should now restart. Right click connection properties, set everything to auto.

Your internet should now be functional.

CONFIG - 2

PPPOE in modem
