@amishjust checked my mail few minutes backtill now i have received 100 odd emails from themlatest being on 22nd dec

yes i received 58 emails dating back to Nov 2006. so that means avg 1 email a week. so its not too much. figure just sounds big because mails were not checked regularlyplus they are sending emails even if work is done in some different telephone exchange. may be their email program doesnt check if i fall under exchange where work is being done.

I have heard BSNL does the same (send emails about services and downtimes to @dataone.in accounts) But i havent yet received any email from them

I dont have any mails from MTNL in my MTNL mailbox..again different standards for Mumbai and delhi

ya... delhi MTNL stopped sendin mails for past 3 - 4 months...
