MTNL Ping suddenly high to Counter Strike servers

I'm having this problem from 1.5 weeks. I was busy because of Exams and Ganpati Visarjan, but I'm still getting over 150ms latency on Indian servers. Also getting 150ish ping on other european servers I used to play on. (i.e only Indian/Singaporean servers are affected).

The ping does reduce to 80ms (for indian servers) some times.

Tracert when ping = 150ms --> Routes through airtel.net.in (Ping spiking from 12ms to 135ms)
Tracert when ping = 80ms --> Routes through mtnl.net.in (Ping spiking from 12ms to 86ms)

Your pings vary from 122ms to 233 ms. The routing appears to be messed up. Just to be sure - Install any antivirus/firewall recently? If not, then it's the routing. Nothing much you can do about it.

Exactly

I think x720 (or some other user) got a port change which fixed a lot of issues. He can confirm this. This *might* work out for you.

Nope. Line and routing have been fine since day 1. Though changing ports has indeed fixed issues (issues like disconnections despite line stats being great) for a couple of people I know.

But, according to the stats @PrateekS92 has posted a couple of pages back, an SNR of 6db isn't going to give a smooth connection.

that was for a couple of hours..getting 25db now...and i get the port changed every 3 months...and the process of changing involves me begging for a port cahnge for a month...they try all methods...blame me,blame router, blame modem, blame the 1 telephone....accuse me of using parallel lines,,then say that use only 1 pc with 1 connection...dont use phones or laptops...then blame the internal wiring of my home...etc etc..I even got a letter from the Area chief or someone saying my internal wiring is faulty...got the wiring changed at my cost..and BANG , problems still there...i felt like going and slapping the MTNL people....

In the end...1 port change solves everything...last port change was in july so too early...have opened complaints on the selfcare portal,on 1504 and 198 ,1 complaint everyday for the last 14 days...ignored...complaint closed within a few hours...
