once my plan was changed from 599 to 199 on 29th and i got billed for 199.they bill u for the plan that was at the end of month and usage charges are also calculated according to that plan

yes no1 would have guts unless u r sure it wont be counted. no1 would take any kind of risk

Look at how much revenue they lost. these govt buggers should be sacked. No wonder they make so many losses, which will ultimately lead to degradation of service.I just got access to the site at 10:30 am on Oct 18th. Even mtnl mumbai site was down, I think.

yes i agree...i'm sure they lost revenue. they should definately start posting the status of the usage page on the triband main page when its down or under construction. thank god they didn't count the 3 days the site was down :) i just hope the next time if it goes down, they don't count it either ;)

It is common in Dsl technology when usage counter stops i have seen people metioning about this with roders broadband Canada. So not for mtnl to blame for.

no they will not lose any revenue.. they (mtnl) pays for speed and not based on MB.if we download in GB or we download nothing.. they just have to pay fixed price.its just we who pay by MB as thats the only way they can make money.

Can someone translate the above quote in understandable english to me plzzzz..... :o

what he is trying to say is Indian ISPs suck. Even in his country no ISP charges by the MB so he downloads 4-5GB daily. But the BIG problem is that he can't find DVDs (Writable) cheap enough. Only in India do we find DVDs as cheap as Rs.7 of good quality too. The ones he gets there are costly and cannot store "data" reliably for more than 8 months!
