dude.. ur prob is perhaps due to double NAT effect of both ADSL & then ur Linksys router in PPPoE mode.Alternatives Available :Option 1. Enable port f/w in ADSL & linksys if u still want modem in PPPoE mode. U can then access both ADSL modem as well as Linksys modem.Option 2. Enable bridge mode in ADSL & use PPPoE mode in linksys router & then open ports. But u will loose connectivity to ADSL & will only connect to Linksys.

@streamsurfer: im already using option 1 ie. i had forwarded the ports in both, the adsl modem and the wireless router. but still the prob exists. the adsl modem is in pppoe mode and the wifi router is in automatic configuration - dhcp.

@essbebe: i have a wrt54gC which is only a wireless router and doesnt have an inbuilt adsl modem too.
i already have a 502t modem provided on rent by mtnl.

anywayz, out of curiousity, i removed all the port forwards done in the 502t adsl modem and rebooted the modem. but still the prob exists.
i dunno what else i can do.
prior to setting up the wifi network, i had only forwarded the ports in the adsl modem.
after setting up the wifi router, i forwarded the ports in the adsl modem and the wifi router.
just 10mins back, i only forwarded the ports in the wifi router and removed the forwarding of ports in the adsl modem.

@essbebe: firstly, to answer ur question, when i removed the port forwards from the adsl modem, it still didnt work. now i looked at the guide in the link u gave me in ur last post, essbebe.and the only thing that i hadnt done in my setup earlier was disable 'SPI Firewall Protection' and 'Block Anonymous Internet Requests'.I did that too, still nothing.I again brought back all my port forwards in the adsl modem (which i had deleted earlier), still the same prob. Now, in the guide its mentioned that u need to port forward in both, the adsl modem and the wifi router if the adsl modem is in pppoe mode (which is the case for me) but still the nat error occurs in Azureus. Also, vishalrao mentioned that if u put the modem in bridged mode and the wifi router in pppoe mode, then only port forwarding is possible. But this is not feasible in my case coz if the the modem is in bridged mode and the wifi router is in pppoe mode, i cant access the settings of the adsl modem which was originally my prob. This is really getting very confusing....can u guys still help me? EDIT: I solved it!I had to bring the adsl modem back in bridged mode and the wifi router in pppoe mode. Now the port forwards r working like a charm...NAT OK, all green happy smiling icons in the Status bar of Azureus. So 502T Modem is in bridged mode, DHCP Server ON, NAT ON, all port forwards r doneWRT54GC Wireless Router is in pppoe mode, DHCP Server OFF, Firewall and Block Anonymous Internet Requests Off, all port forwards r done.BUT NOW I CANNOT ACCESS THE ADSL MODEMS SETTINGS PAGE AGAIN ONLY WHEN IN WIFI NETWORK!!! :wall:I guess this is still bareable, as long as no nat probs and the wifi network is working fine.If someone can still help me solve this small prob, without advising me to change my modem back to pppoe again, then im all ears!

i haven't tried it yet.. will let u know if i try it.. i prefer Bridge + PPPoE mode... in this way the Linksys router will handle all UR linksys might have 4 ports at back to connect.Don't know why u r bent on using PPPoE + DHCP mode..Bar bar modem ki kaunsi setting adjust karni hot hai.. :PIf u really want to see green in Azureus in PPPoE + DHCP.. u can choose DMZ[De-Militarized Zone] [ Warning : it's not recommended, but it will work & use a good software firewall in ur PC & regulate what port is to be blocked / unblocked is all i can say ] U will have no NAT probs ;)Setting up a DMZ host puts the designated PC/ Laptop, outside any kind of router firewall.

@yohu- have you given the adsl modem's address in the gateway in tcp/ip porperties?

@viralbug: i hadnt done that earlier, but after ur suggestion, i did change the default gateway in my PCs lan settings to that of the adsl 502t modems local ip ie.192.168.1.1but then i lost my net connectivity so i had to change it back to the local ip of the wrt54gc router ie.192.168.2.1 now i read somewhere that there was a port forwarding prob with wrt54gc wireless routers.but this prob was fixed in 1.03.0 firmware and above....i had 1.00.7so i tried to upgrade the firmware to first 1.05.7 and 1.03.0but both the upgrades failed coz the router said that the firmware files were not for the correct version (yes, i had used the .img images after unzipping them from the .zip files).then i noticed that my router is version 2 (not 1) and those firmwares were both for version 1anywayz, i finally got a firmware upgrade for version 2 which is 1.01.0 and the upgrade was successful.i anxiously changed back to 502t with pppoe mode and wrt54gc with auto config-dhcp.....no use, the nat error returned to azureus. :(i removed the port forwards in 502t also but still the same prob.i guess this is a specific prob only with wrt54gc of forwarding ports and theres nothin wrong with my wifi setup.then that means i have to stick with 502t in bridged mode and wrt54gc in pppoe mode and live with the fact that i wont be able to access the 502t modems settings page as long as its in the wifi network.with this present wifi setup, the only way to now access the 502t modems settings page will be to connect the modem directly to the pc and removing the wifi router out of the picture.after which, i have to change the ip addresses in the lan settings of the pc to display 192.168.1.1 ipmore suggestions are still welcome though.

try setting the adsl modem in pppoe and wifi router in bridge mode.change wifi router address to the same range as adsl modem ie 192.168.1.x range.change your lan ip address to 192.168.1.x range and set gateway address to adsl router address.

try setting the adsl modem in pppoe and wifi router in bridge mode.

the wifi router doesnt have a bridge mode.
it has automatic configuration-dhcp, static ip, pppoe and pptp modes.
i have tried the dhcp and pppoe modes of the router so far.

change wifi router address to the same range as adsl modem ie 192.168.1.x range.

thats not possible coz the adsl modem and the wifi router shud have two separate subset range for their local IPs in order to be able to access the settings page of both of them and avoid ip conflicts.
so its 192.168.1.1 for adsl modem and 192.168.2.1

change your lan ip address to 192.168.1.x range and set gateway address to adsl router address.

since the adsl modem is in pppoe mode, i have set the ip address of the PCs lan as a range of the wifi router ie. 192.168.2.x

so can u give me a set of changes to make in my wifi setup (adsl modem and wifi router)?
also, can i try the Static IP mode in the wifi router?
if yes, what wud be the exact values i need to put there coz mtnl triband gives us a dynamic ip and there r dns1, dns2 and dns3 in the static ip mode of the router.
