MTNL Triband down for me since evening

i have noticed a very peculiar problem with MTNL since some time...many times, in bridge mode, it will connect but no data transfer will happen...it will be stuck at 136 bits and then keep on increasing by 10 bits after some time and this will keep on happening...and suddenly the net would start working...in pppoe mode it won't get connected for a long time and after getting connected many sites won't open...though i have faced this problem of sites not opening first time today...but the data not transferring is a very frequent problem...CC guys have no idea about the problem...

Finally back up after around 40 hrs downtime. Speeds seem to be OK

yup it was happening with me too , i use pppoe modei had to reset the modem everytime

well, there was some problems at night...everything seems to be in track now

its quite common with MTNL for the link between the DSLAM (at exchange) and BRAS to go down..usually takes longer to correct..coz its an exchange specific issue and all subscribers are not affected by it

yup BRAS stands for broadband remote access server..the difference between MTNL mumbai and MTNL delhi is that mumbai has distributed BRAS setup while in delhi all the remote access servers are located at one place i.e Kidwai Bhawan, Janpath..dont know if this difference has any effect on reliablility though..
