Mtnl Unlimited On Garuda?

check advertisement on page 7 of today's toi. I dont know how to put up that image here?If someone tells me how, I'll do that. It doesnt say what speed...but it says 299 bucks per month & unlimited. I am guessing it is dialup speed or maybe its 64kbps? Can anyone find out ???

Garuda is baed on CDMA 2000 1x tech (Like Tata / Airtel or Reliance FWP/FWT). It has maximum bandwidth limit of 144 kbit/s. Technically it is a 3G network. But in India 3G spectrum is still not available. So all "public" deployments are on 2G spectrum.

MTNL Garuda provides speeds upto 144 kbps, similar to Reliance.

We recently got a Garuda Unltd. Internet @ Rs299/- as a secondary backup connection. The phone is a FWP type Pantech/Hantel HTP-801 w/ XP driver that came with the phone. It does'nt connect faster than 28.8kbps!
Trying to remedy this, any help would be appreciated, thanks. Post here .
