SIr,
How come 800gb? It is 200gb or 800gb for 6 months?
From what I've heard (and I might be wrong, so don't quote me on it!) earlier it was 200GB and now it is 800GB BUT even after you have consumed 800GB you are NOT charged after it, so this 'limit' is merely creating a confusion!

I dont think MTNL has free roaming. Does it ? Is it national or regional.

^ It's the decision you shd take buddy.. I too paid 4.5k + 449 + 3k (approx 1.3k/month) overall.. But the speed is > 2MBps and free roaming.. wht else one asks for :) "

Yes.. it's free roaming for Data.. You will be connected to BSNL 3G if mtnl not available.. Ppl do use the same .. Just check other threads buddy..

hello i m using Huawei O2 e1750 dongle(7.2mbps) with mtnl connection and i am getting speed of 3.6mbps i.e download speed from 300kbps to 4ookpbs and i m getting full signals 99% at my place. So my question is how much maximum speed does mtnl provide?i know mtnl is providing dongle's of 3.6mbps,7.2mbps,14.6mbps,21.6mbps etc etc but how much maximum speed they are providing from its server.i called on customer care and they replied that ask this from the sanchar haat and sanchar haat people are saying ask from the customer care.It just bullshit :(....my device is of 7.2 mbps(o2 e1750) and i should get the download speed upto 900kbps (actual speed divided by 8) .so can anyone tell me whats the matter or it means MTNL is providing speed upto 3.6mbps only .i am confused or anyone have idea which isp is providing speed above 3.6mbps actally.please reply

No matter what your speed of Dongle, you will only get the maximum of what your tower provides you. MTNL has towers capable of 3.6 mbps speeds. However, someone on a different forum says that MTNL is silently upgrading to 7.2 mbps and is testing it in some areas like Andheri East.

He also provided a screenshot of it. I don't know if MTNL is really testing higher speeds or not, but until they make an official statement about it you should expect 3.6 mbps, not more. And when (if) they upgrade their speeds then you should be able to get higher speeds as your dongle supports upto 7.2 mbps. BUT if MTNL decides to go even further, then your dongle will be a limiting factor!

in 7.2 MPBs does it make any difference if we buy any Huawei modem...as the E173 is for around Rs 1650 will it make any difference as e1750 is for around 2000 or more..

I think it doesn't matter which u purchase as long as it provide 7.2 Mbps speed, but all that depends if MTNL enable that speed
