I can take screenshots on my Galaxy S(Froyo). Did Samsung add this functionality?

yes. google has made an official statement that they do not condemn rooting like Apple does with jailbreaking. no surprises there.

the fact remains however, you lose your warranty on your phone if you root it. and if you overclock it. period.
