Hello Peeps, Im from Dhenkanal and im currently on Airtel Fiber as of December of 2024, here is my experience with Airtel fiber so far. December 16th got my connection it took about 3 hours to get my fiber running, pings were considerably worse from jio fiber (Airtel got me 60-70ms ping in mumbai valorant whereas jio used to give me 40-45ms)(In valorant, CS2) but at least loaded latency was literally none, i was getting 0 packet loss in valorant while downloading games on steam (100 mbps plan). Moderate nat in gta v, because i was getting dynamic public ip, which allowed me to port forward for minecraft server hosting . Then two months later my connection was changed to CGNAT, no more public ip, strict NAT type, no port forwarding, BUT Valorant now gave me 27-32ms 90% of the time to mumbai, 55-62ms to Singapore, it was really good, but since i needed to host minecraft servers, i opted for static ip and well all hell went loose. April 5th i got my cgnat removed ( after i applied for static ip) my ip was now dynamic public for 2 days, pings were at a all time high, then the airtel ground team game the static ip address to set on my bridged router, then the pings were even worse, since my pop changed to Delhi as compared to Bhubaneswar when i was on CGNAT, well unfortunate or not that connection lasted for a day, and i was getting constant outage time to time minimum 2 times a day for a week after getting static ip and also horrible pings to every game, so naturally i opted out from static ip( they refused to change my pop) and then i was back on dynamic public ip with slightly better pings but still with +20ms pings as compared to pings from cgnat. Im genuinely confused on whether to continue Airtel or just get railwire or alliance at this point.
