Need help regarding wifi setup

hi everyoneI've been using tikona since last two years without any problems. The only reason that i can find for my problem free usage is that i have a direct connection to my pc i.e without any modem. I have a cable coming to my pc directly from the adjoining building that makes internet access problem free for me. Now i would like to setup a wifi environment inside my home but i am clueless. I went through several threads on this forum. Almost all of them mention using a router. However, i read somewhere that you need a modem for a router to work. Now i do not have the default tikona ruckus modem installed. My question is what do i need to set up wifi?

you don't need a modem for router to work. Buy a simple wifi router, connect the wire. Volia

Well if its that simple then i would definitely try it. But i wanted to make sure before i invested in buying a router. Thanks for the reply. :smile:
