@Ameen So I tested

After this, I reconnected and I am still going strong at 50 Mbps! 🚀

can some one please post the screenshots of the speed though VPN from eruope or USA or some far away country server. I am fully aware speed will be decreased if connected to VPN but just curios to know if we are still able to watch videos in 720p or 1080p with vpn connected with bsnl fiber.
@varkey or some one please.

I escalated this issue on twitter, finally the right team is looking at this issue. The GPON team in Ernakulam reached out to me and asked me to test some basic troubleshooting steps (which I had ruled out anyway, but it is necessary from their end and I shared the results). The issue appears to be out of their area, and they said they have now escalated it to the network team in Bangalore.

Hopefully there should be some progress finally.

So they got back to me saying, fuptopup.bsnl.co.in wouldn't work from the IP pools I get IP addresses allocated. I was told to use an alternate URL -- https://redirect1.bbportal.bsnl.co.in/portal/ As to why, I don't know! 🤷‍♂️

This works, and I can login with my full BSNL username and password, and can see the data usage etc. However password change doesn't work, that was one of the main reasons I wanted to get the fuptopup.bsnl.co.in page working.

Question to other BSNL users - Does the change password option available in the fuptopup.bsnl.co.in portal actually work? Has anyone tried?

Guys please post some pics of speed test with vpn switched on in BharatFiber, as after so much pleading and negotitaing with so many BSNL authorities they said yes, but in case of any network connectivity i will not be given immediate service as my connection is not through any LCO, so to solve any issues it might take unspecified amount of time, so they have asked if it is okay with me, I have just said I will reply soon, so please share the speed results with VPN or proxy switched on, so the i can take my chances if the speed is worth it, even if the network is down. Please help me out by posting BSNL fiber speed test with VPN switched on.
Also it would be more helpful if your Device is connected through wired LAN rather than wireless.

@abbyck You tried from the fuptopup.bsnl.co.in page? Would you mind sharing your first 3 octets?

So if you change your password through the fuptopup portal, it means the PPP authentication password also changes right? Could you try the same from the alertnate URL they provided that I shared above?

@varkey yes I tried using fuptopup.bsnl.co.in.
Currently ip is in 117.254.1xx.xxx range.
Also yes, I've changed my ppp password from fuptopup portal and it worked flawlessly. Using the same credentials for the ppp dialling.

I tried logging into the url provided above earlier. Well, it said user not found or something like that.
In Kerala I usually get(99% of the time) an ip from 117.254. Once from 52 range
