Arun is from Ernakulam. He most probably uses an Alphion OLT. I am from Thiruvananthapuram. Here the OLT is UTStarcom BB4000 series. The ONT is an ancient 2008 model from the same brand and it doesn't have a GE port. Is any ONT with GE port compatible with this model of OLT?

Are you got connection directly from bsnl or through LCO?

Ernakulam has a lot of OLTs. Thats why Arun is getting great speeds.
Earlier I didn't get that much speeds on peak times and then I complained to local cable operator and they changed there media converter from 100Mbps 20KM to 1000Mbps 40KM. Then only I get over 100Mbps speed on peak times.

My Keralavision connection got deactivated now. It is just a username and password configured in PPPoE mode. They are using mac address encryption method, so its only authorize from this router. IP always starts with 103:xxx.

I think bsnl not doing mac binding method, because I tried my bsnl connection with different routers and it works perfectly. I also have 2 onts, one is the basic one [Single lan port] and the other includes 2 lans and one telephone port also. I configured bsnl credentials in 2 onts and it works perfectly. But in case of Keralavision, I need to call CC to reset the mac address and then only it works
