@sniper whats the status of the service request in selfcare and whats your profile reflecting as,is it as it was earlier or its changed.

@crymetyme I received an email from BSNL saying my service request has been approved. The usage stat page shows my profile with the new plan name Base-I-H-DLY-20MB-10G-1MB-M and the selfcare portal too shows my updated plan BSNL uld300. I cannot detect any speed change right now since my line is capped at 10 Mbps since the last one year.

@sniper its all done and changed,you will be getting 20mbps upto 10gb,but you will have to get your speed upgraded to 20mbps from the exchange if your line is good enough to be stable

@crymetyme yup, and this is gonna be a headache, meaning, getting these BSNL guys to upgrade the line rate. Maybe I'll contact the NIB and see if they can do it rather than these guys from the exchange. As of now my connection is pretty stable with no downtime at all since several months. But it's a dsl line and though they say copper lines are perfectly capable to handle 20mbps, the BSNL guys seldom wanna change the line rate beyond 14!Mbps (here) as they fear the unstable connection as the cables are old. Fiber is beginning next month, so hopefully then it's gonna be good enough.

@crymetyme Just an update, I called up NIB and requested them to increase my line rate from 10mbps to higher according to my current plan. They acceded to my request and within half an hour increased my maximum attainable rate to 13 Mbps (down - 13, up - 847kbps). There was a few times the line was unstable and my network conked a few times probably because they were trying with different combinations to check how stable the line gets. Finally, they settled for 16 Mbps (down) & 877 (up) which probably is the best I could get on my line (SNR's have a dipped a little from 28 to 17 and attenuation increased from 16 to 20) ...all these changes happening within just one and a half hour since I called them. They called me to check if my dsl link was stable while using the internet and touchwood it's been stable ever since. Now it's been almost 2 hrs since the final settings. Looks good until now and hopefully stays like this. Looks like the current crises in BSNL have made them more efficient

Anyway, credit must be given to them where it's due as they deserved it.

@sniper Thats good than,some guys are really good at work just because they know what to do,as far as my statistics are concerned i have 20mbps dl and 1mbps ul sync rate but my SNR margin is very low 6 up and down although my line is stable as i do not use landline much,if i use the landline than the broadband drops the connection sometimes but i am ok with it and the speed i get is around 16mbps.

@crymetyme I just did! Now I'm on the ULD 300 plan (291)! It probably has to do something with availing any one of the ULD plan before. If a subscriber has availed any such plan then they probably are ineligible. Well that's my guess.

Hello any one of you upgraded to the new 599 plan? I have upgraded but plan name is showing Base-I-H-DLY-8MB-4G-1MB-M after 4gb I am getting 1 mbps. ?
