How to convince Beam to start its service in Delhi NCR? Will an online petition help?

I doubt it.

...and BTW, what is the upload speed on BSNL's VDSL plans?

Depends on the VDSL profile. In theory anything up to 100mbit/s is possible, but even if you were sitting right next to the exchange I doubt they'd give you that kind of upload speed if their FTTH speeds are anything to go by. More likely will be 3mbit/s but don't hold me to that.

How can BSNL upgrade their plans for selective regions only and not for the whole India?? Is it not unfair trade practice?? Why we are not taking legal action against this kind of fraudulent practices??

BSNL is allowed to have whatever plans it likes according to the needs of each telecom circle, that's why almost every company has different prices/plans in every circle.

"One India" seems to be a pretty foreign concept, unfortunately, and not just for the telecom industry.

Wonder what the upload speed on those 1500rupees and 2500rupees BSNL plans are? Any idea anybody?

^^as above.

uploading needs sampling in the switching station
which induces quantisation noise...

I guess it depends on the exchange that s what i think
not sure:no:

Ihave upgraded from my BB ULD 850 to BBG ULD 1499 CS16 VDSL Plan. But i have been waiting for 3 days for the promised speeds. But this is what mu speeds look like.

Contacted the Exchange, but no proper response

Did you get a new modem yet? VDSL is different to ADSL (but has backwards compatibility), so if your line & plan has been changed they should have supplied you with one so that you can avail of the speeds.

i am currently on 1350 ul plan, other than the new vdsl modem any other hardware required for my pc? will this new modem connect to existing LAN card or i will have to buy a wireless lan card?

Other than the VDSL modem, you do not need to do anything to your PC. It will connect to the existing LAN card.

thanks for reply,Other than the VDSL modem, you do not need to do anything to your PC. It will connect to the existing LAN card.

how is the plan working out? any updates? what is the modem charge? or what is the monthly rent for the vdsl modem?

Its always a specific state first and then the rollout will begin to other states too. I dont think regional BSNL officers will be dormant when other officers are rolling out such plans. Also as i used to say , WE have been in the 512kbps speed for too long time , I would gladly take that 1499 UL plan. Actually that was the plan i was on before . 4mbps UL , given the current need , i would rarely use up that much bandwidth . I would love if the Pings are better , helps for gaming.

I doubt that. I assume it will increase, at-least by 15ms more when compared with traditional ADSL connections with G.DMT modulation as there's no fast path available in VDSL AFAIK.

Of course, that won't make any difference if you are currently under ADSL2(or Plus) since you wouldn't notice any latency changes.
