I doubt that. I assume it will increase, at-least by 15ms more when compared with traditional ADSL connections with G.DMT modulation as there's no fast path available in VDSL AFAIK.

Of course, that won't make any difference if you are currently under ADSL2(or Plus) since you wouldn't notice any latency changes.

Only if the servers are closer , or in india. In tf2 , my pings are always 250+ ms :(

Only if those VDSL plans connect with other gateways (which is not, unfortunately, in my area) - you can expect changes to your pings, although that's less likely to happen. I was moved to 59.x.x IP range after I opted for an 8mbps connection and it had pings of 400+ all the time.

Plus, the 15ms difference I told you about is same, regardless of the server you're connecting to. If you get 90 to an indian server now, you will get 105.

Its always a specific state first and then the rollout will begin to other states too. I dont think regional BSNL officers will be dormant when other officers are rolling out such plans.

As you're saying that after a specific period they will rollout to other states then what is exact time period? And also the upgradation made back in 1st March this year, in some of the FUP plans they gave extra bandwidth to some of the selected Circles/SSAs while for other Circles/SSAs it remained the same. So, my question is if they had to rollout in other places then why haven't they done yet? It's been over 6 months now and the same.

Thus far ,the other circles used to implement the new schemes within 2-3 months. May be this is just a "one-state-push" from bsnl. Or they might be testing such plans , ie how much profitable it can be ,etc. I too wish it got implemented Pan-India ASAP... I wish.... :)

Guys, can anyone tell me the process for applying Home combo 625 ??Witth 2mbps till 10GB that is pretty good for me. It is time to go back to BSNL

Newbie here.. Can any one else from places other than Hyderabad comment whether their speed on 625 plan has been upgraded? I've applied for the 850 plan and if the speeds have really increased then I'd rather opt for a 625 plan or a 750 plan.. Thanks :)

U can apply online here

hi jignesh...howz the speed like ? My case is somewhat peculiar... When i test the speed with speedtest.net, i get something like 1.7Mbps but when i actually download, the speed never goes beyong 1Mbps.. I raised a help desk request and seems like nobody cared to take up the matter :Boy Thumb Down:

Theoretical maximum is 256 Kilobytes per second.

I get 140-150 kbps when I download anything.

BSNL has come out with great plans for Andhra Pradesh circle to combat Beam.

NO Speed reduction, NO FUP apparently, though the banner says otherwise.

And most of these are combo plans with free calls too.
