I filled the return yesterday when they resolved the late fine issue.
Every year I used to get an email after completing the ITR filling and e-verification. But this time, I have not received a single email till now.

Yes the issue is resolved now. Those who paid for the late fee will get refund after itr is processed.

It seems that infosys is having some really bad code architects or bad managers which doesn’t even know the basics of the portal

I have wasted whole day trying to file stupid itr 3. On validation page it shows same error and clicking on it takes to General info schedule where in Filing section it automatically changes Director in firm option to yes. Then in validation it shows error to enter firm name 
Try filling offline method by downloading software. I had to do it because even though form 26as shows correct taxes paid and form 16 shows correct taxes to be paid. The online portal kept showing lesser taxes as paid (basically 3 months of taxes paid disappeared) and no option to edit and correct. Finally downloaded and edited json file and uploaded that in the desktop app and filed.
I am doing it with offline utility. I couldn't find a way to save my progress. Will again try to do from scratch.
Assholes have two utility listed on the site if you download without login you will get 1.0.5 ver which doesn't contain itr3
confusing people even more.
After login you can download 1.0.7 ver which works normal, even in the final preview pdf everything works. At validation it keeps showing that error which doesn't even exist in preview pdf.
In the end that utility also strated to freeze. So much time wasted.

For me, the everify button after "everify later" option didn't work. It was a hard time doing workarounds to get past the step.
