that's the thing. people get annoyed when i do not merge similar threads. people get annoying when i do. i guess, you guys have to be more proactive on reporting about threads that should be merged and which should not be. but the point remains. some people would like merging, others would not. as we are seeing from socrates' reaction.

of course, i would be selecting regular members as moderators. i realize that essbebe, socrates, jignesh have been heavy contributors. i also trust folks like amish who have been here for a very long time. but i had like to see recommendations to get the names first. along with forums they are regulars with. i am not looking for a super moderator with rights to the entire board. i had make forum specific moderators right now. people who are focused on certain fields.

ok fine. change in policy from now on. i would not be merging any threads unless people participating in the thread requests so. but i would also like to request something here...stop posting links from blogs that are banned on this forum. regulars would realize that i have no fondness for some popular indian blogs that have a crappy policy with respect to speaking the truth. stop posting threads with stupid/incorrect titles with spelling mistakes. most of the changes i make are usually related to changing the title of the thread to make them more visible to search engines. help me in this and i would have less moderation work to do!
four names for one forum! i guess i would have to ask individually from all the suggested guys if they are interested. in any case, feel free to suggest more names. i would need some more suggestions so that i can pinpoint guys who are favored by more than just one member!
