I would definitely nominate karanparekh for MTNL Mumbai.

Jaymin for Reliance forums. He is not going to come online for some days, but I would vote for him.

Ok ... This is a bit too random. But here it goes

Do you have a way of filtering users (and mailing/Pm'ing) based on combinations of either no.of posts, active, join date & filter the ones you are not keen on being given moderation choice. To those members, you can mail them/inform them of the decision & provide them with the details like which forums are available for moderation and to respond if they are interested. Those people you can put up for nomination.
I am saying all this, because randomly putting names I feel will not help, as a) It will go with a flow of conversational choice for names e.g. A referring B, C referring D, C arguing for D etc ... b)People who are being voted for may not be interested in the first place.

@Admin - Merging two totally related threads makes sense - Merging two threads under same topics may or may not make sense. For a person looking for a solution to a problem may find it more easy if these threads are separate (like when coming via google) , rather than merged & his solution buried somewhere in betweenFor some general thread like sports-related where we talk about different issues related to a sport , even merging may not have a major impact like say thread discussing I.P.L matches & related to any controversy related to that.So , I suggest you can try using a more cautious approach when merging, but do not rule it out either

There are a lot of topics that can be merged for the reason, either they are a repeat post or it's just a new thread by newbie who didn't use search. But, I sort of resist reporting most posts and threads because it sort of pisses the poster. I understand what they feel when merging hammer is used. I would suggest you to be a bit soft to the members. And start sending email or pm updates of rules and policy to all members based on recent trends psst psst unacceptable trends.

I might have missed something. Can anyone explain it to me?

You guys really want someone as a moderator of the MTNL Broadband forum?
