NEW DELHI: National Geographic Channel Network India (NGC) will be launching three more channels Fox Crime, FX and Baby TV by next quarter in addition to the existing Fox History and Entertainment channels.
Speaking to indiantelevision.com National Geographic Channel Network India senior vice president-Content and Communication Rajesh Sheshadri says, “
Out of the total seven channels we had planned we have got we got licenses for three channels; Baby TV, Fox Crime and FX. And we are looking at launching these three channels by next quarter, which would be next three to four months from now.”
While Baby TV will be targeted towards children below the age group of three years and their parents, Fox Crime will be targeted at viewers interested in the genre of crime and the content will comprise of crime series mainly in addition to crime movies.
And FX will be targeted at men comprising of action, sports, comedy, technology series apart from movies. All three channels will be launched in English.
The three channels will launch on digital platforms including direct-to-home (DTH).


And going forward the network is looking at giving a local flavour to all the three new channels. Sheshadri adds, “Going forward, we would like to localise exactly like we localised Fox History and Nat Geo. Finally, it has to be an international channel with local sensibility.”
Meanwhile the network will be soon introducing its new flagship programme The Tudors on Fox History and Entertainment. The marketing for the new show will begin close to 27 March through its NGC’s own television network, print, online and outdoor of home (OOH).
Additionally, in April the channel will introduce new series Iconoclasts and in May it will telecast new show Deconstructing Designs Icons.
Last year NGC Networks had applied for licenses for seven channels which includes four more Nat Geo channels; Nat Geo HD, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo, Nat Adventure, Fox Crime, FX and Baby TV.
When asked about the four Nat Geo channels; Sheshadri replies, “We are waiting for licenses for four more channels, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Music, Nat Geo Adventure and Nat Geo HD. And we are hopeful that we will be getting the licenses very soon.”
In future, the network will divide its channels; National Geographic channels and Fox channels into two separate entities.

Those crap channel u're referring to also has an audience.. no sooner will they do tht those guys will come forward and crib ..
