No More Sify!

Wouldn't the amount of data transferred be limited (hence bandwidth saved) by keeping our speeds low? How does increasing our speeds make Sify mroe profits then? Simultaneously imposing a 150 MB/day limit kidn of keeps the situation same as before and is like giving with one hand and taking away with another.

well.....for me it was a difference of 50 Rs......48kbps-450 Rs and 128Kbps-500 Rs.[/b]

128 pack comes for Rs. 995 here in Delhi while the 48 one is for Rs. 450.

Btw I get around 80-96 kbps on my 48 pack too. Sify really has mindless packages, they seem to be looting people by charging more for the 96 pack when a 48 pack gives the same speed (though they could charge more for the 128 pack because it is certainly not close to the 96 kbps / 12 kBps pack in speed terms).

No doubt about that, that is so easy to see
I used to have 2~4kB/s and since this 150Mb/rule, i have 10~13

But then, the speedpackages are nonsense then

Why pay more for 64 or 96 or 128 or whatever, if u reach the same with the 48kbps package

Such a losers they are, people who aint have a clue whats going on get fooled big time!

Last 15 days and only 3 days uptime for Sify. It %@#$% annoying . I am with no choice left cos sify is the only one left in our area . Tata guy is asking it will take them 15 more days to provide me the new connection (I applied on 26th may) . Have applied for MTNL also . Now just waiting for both tata and mtnl before getting sify disconnected for good. So moral of the story (which is known to all of u ) DON'T GO FOR SIFY

I know i never understood why they have kept the prices high at other places...

also i am not goin back to 40 or anything less.....the speeds have improved and i am gettin around 130 to 150kbps on that 128kbps pack.

128kbps pack comes for 500/- at mumbai and at 995/- at other cities...Another reason y they prove themselves !@#$%..y such partiality...huh

Someone said there is more ISP competition in Mumbai. Sify is just a looter company.
