In budget phones they will retain market share some what in India.First they did not launch any double sim models. So china grey import and then later Heavy advt'd Indian branded china models stole the below Rs 5000 market (50-70%)Also
samsung and
LG came with so many digital models in Rs 4000-8000 category. Now only ,
Nokia is trying hard introducing double sim, touch ,3g in all price brackets.(cheaper price points)But once you give up a segment, hard to get it back. Now budget consious Indians dont hesitate to buy popular (china)models like Micromax,Lava etc in the below rs 5000 category.Nokia's hardware quality is un parallel.I wish they join the
Android collective (but no profit for them).Atleast they can take market share back from Samsung,LG,
Motorola etc.(which they lost in US$ 70 to 250 segment)
Microsoft -I thing is going to bring out a mobile OS which will synch with
Windows 8 tab/pc. (like all
Apple products synch).Since Nokia has already gone to Microsoft camp, they may reap late benefits if it clicks.
