ASHA phone in Lumia design :D
It has only 1 button (may be physical or touch) which is present in latest ASHA phones of 5XX series. Lumia has 3 buttons.

The Verge’s sources say:

Normandy is designed as an Asha equivalent to push low-cost devices with access to more traditional smartphone apps — something the company has struggled to achieve for its Series 40-powered Asha line.

Infamous leaker, @evleaks, has mentioned Normandy before. He tweeted an image of a red device (pictured above) a couple of weeks ago with one capacitive button. No other details were shared.

What does "forked" Android mean? In essence, companies have two ways to use Android. There’s the official, Open Handset Alliance (OHA) method, which is how Samsung and LG go and then there’s the “forked” way, like Amazon. Amazon’s Kindle HD technically runs Android, but it has no access to Google Play, which are Google’s main services.
Quite interesting. But may be such device will never exists in real life :)

As to whether Microsoft will let the project see light of day once it acquires Nokia early next year, the answer is less certain. However, within Nokia there is a sense that Redmond may be willing to pursue the project.
While Normandy has some open-source elements of Android at its core, Nokia would be heavily customizing the look of the software as well as the services at its core, much as Amazon has with its Kindle line.
According to a Nokia source, the software has a look more similar to Windows Phone than to the “squircle” icons used on the Asha. Normandy would also serve as a way to deliver Microsoft services such as Bing and Skype.
More rumors online :)

There are strong rumors that Nokia and Microsoft might switch to Android for Asha branded smarterphones. Could happen if Microsoft can create a decent Kindle Tablet like port of Android with their own services (Bing/Here/Xbox).
Microsoft is already reportedly makes 2 billion dollars from Android every year... Why not use it more directly to benefit even more!

That wud be end of Windows Phones den, they wud have to bring for high Lumia range as well which I doubt.
WP is doing very well now a days.

Windows is surely picking up. Ive been seeing lot of 620's, 720's and even a couple of 920's around. But I would give it another 1~2 years before considering it. Its a good thing for consumers ..they now have 3 OS's to choose from instead of 2.
MS could could come out with their own version of forked out android, install xbox services and what not into it and mirror those same features into WP8 so that future android users will find the transition from android to WP easier.
