np, dont mention it yes the 10 gb partition is related to rescue disk... HP uses that partition to create the DVDs, but they say you can have only one backup location, either on the partition or the DVD, but after I burned my 2 DVDs, I still have the recovery partition too you cannot format and install vista with the rescue disks, it is used as an "image" which automatically brings the system to "factory default state" so you cant do a custom install...

they must be clearing the stocks.... clearance sales are always the best time to buy stuff since they drop the price just to get it off their stock/shelves...i made the mistake of buying mine just as soon as the new model was released 4 months ago...

you could look at another HP laptop model... visit croma or some laptop store to get a feel for the models... a non-tablet should be cheaper than a tablet coz of the touchscreen and tablet price premium...for 53 k you should be able to get a same/better laptop with good nvidia 8600 discreet graphics... the tx1301au has "on board" graphics which can run vista aero and linux effects but not much more

Thanks guys, but tablet functionality attracted me a lot and I got TX1301AU last week. Still playing with the beauty.
@vishalrao, a small doubt,
difference b/w two models is that 1301 is having 1GB ram, whereas 1302 is having 2GB. (Both are expandable upto 4GB). 1301 is having up to 287MB Total Available Graphics Memory whereas 1302 is having up to 559MB Total Available Graphics Memory, though both are using the same NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 6150. My question is, will I get 559 MB of video memory, if I upgrade to 2GB (or more) RAM?
Whats the battery backup you are getting? Im getting upto 90min max.
