Should he not be arrested? Burning battery intentionally?

Under which law is burning a consumer product you own, is a crime? Especially considering he did it in an isolated area away from anyone.

Burning battery must be a crime under some pollution law for sure or endangering life of others.

Police arrest karna chahe toh kuch bhi laga de.

Selling electric scooters in this country should be a crime. Ola is the culprit. Not that person.

Definitely Ola as well as govt are the culprit here. For launching a car, manufacturer needs to do months of testing. Here the manufacturer did ZERO testing and rolled the first product out of line to the customer.

Gadkari blaming the rising temperature, I don't understand it will get even hotter in June. What will happen then? If the temperature is the issue why launch such a scooter in India at the first place?

Yet to hear anything major about Ather scooters, so I wonder what really is the problem. It’s an obvious thing that heat kills the battery and Indian weather conditions aren’t suitable for EVs. Never have been.

I disagree. There are EVs in India for years now. But Ola fcked up everything. There are areas where temperatures are greater. The issue is the with the product itself.

Conditions won't change for product, so it is the product that should be adaptable.

If heat is the reason for scooters catching fire, then any battery operated product should have
caught fire. Conditions before selling battery operated products: make sure you live on a mountain lol.

Ather's products are probably quality tested something which Ola doesn't know jack about.

The guy who burnt his scooter said that for weeks, he couldn't get Ola to respond but ever since the incident, they keep calling him to take down the video and accept a free replacement. Lol

Pretty sure these companies know the ideal conditions where EVs are going to perform best and are most suitable.

I just fail to understand why people are buying Ola scooters.

Ye raj toh us scooter ke Saath chala gaya. Sasta bikta hai. It was cheaper as compared to ather. But not Ola gave ather free publicity and marketing.
