ONT Serial Number changes frequently

Hi not sure why the serial number of my ONT keeps changing. Using Syrotech before it was GPONEXXXX not it’s something else like RTKG11111 and the internet has stopped working. Ont is 05 (Authenticated) but I don’t get the IP address

Btw connection used to work till 33dBm (RX).. so the problem is something else! I’ll get the loss fixed soon!

Did you try resetting the ONT?
Nothing more can be done...It appears to be a bug.

Is it affecting you? If the device registers to the OLT, it's all good from a PON perspective. Perhaps the OLT doesn't even care about the serial number of the ONT. If this was causing an issue the PON registration would have failed.

Regarding PPPoE connection failure, review the connection logs.

Had to ask the OLT guy to re-make the connections

@Subhadeep_ I don't think that the user is affected by this issue in 2025.
