1.If you get connected to Internet and surf nicely, that is the right setting !2.Also this DNS can be entered in TCP/IP properties.3. I don't have this modem. Will check up later in MT882!. 4. & go through screen shots/manual of your C2110 if stored in my computer.

Resolved the problem. I deleted the ip's of open dns and then checked all the pages i have posted above and voila, bsnl also given its dns to the first 2. So my setting was right. I again updated it to the previous setting of opendns. One more thing i would like to know from you, how to setup my connection in bridge mode. It is currently autodialing from modem(PPPoE). I just want to make it dial by myself with a shortcut on desktop. A link to previously discussed topic on this will help.

1.Good. Please copy present settings or note down in a note book.
2. Select bridged.
3. Hope you know, how to create a dialer.

Thanks essbebe,Now i can run both configuration i.e PPPoE and Bridge Mode:yahoo:. In PPPoE we get security of NAT and in bridge not. If this will effect any thing? Opendns is best or i should also try some other services?

Use an Anti virus program ( AVG free ) and a firewall like ZoneAlarm free etc. whichever way you connect. Download SPYBOT and check for trojans/malware/spyware also twice a month. Please, always keep a record or screen shots of your modem settings. will be useful to you later or others with similar problems.Para two : Open DNS is ok. You can use only BSNL DNS in lieu. When you want to use Torrents download , and want to use timers/( auto schedulers) etc, please search in Tags.

the fact that ur using norton could be a problem :P

Can you explain it more clearly. I haven't faced any problem using that in PPPoE mode. Bridged mode i haven't tried much.
