thats why u need software which automatically updates ur IP, everytime it changes, using ur passwd and hence that prob wont occur. but if u dont use software obviously site blocked by earlier user wont work.

frankly speaking i noticed a couple of times updates.microsoft.com was banned. i searched in my blocked list, and i couldnt find that. Later i found, it was because of opendns settings given by someone else. I changed the IP by restarting router, and updated my ip in opendns !
Yeah.. i too dont like hijacking address bar. Normally google is set for me (both in ie n firefox). Now opendns started the search ! On another hand, the good thing is, you can point "mail" to "mail.yahoo.com" and next time just type mail in address bar, and you get mail.yahoo.com page

i do not like or use opendns coz it hijacks searches made through the address bar on firefox.
+1 The same reason for which i avoid OpenDNS. Dnsmasq suits fine for me...
