Mumbai: Exactly two decades after selling its carbonated (or aerated) beverages to The Coca-Cola Co., Parle Agro Pvt. Ltd, which sells Frooti and Appy soft drinks, is re-entering the market with a coffee-flavoured carbonated beverage, Café Cuba, the company announced in a press conference on Tuesday. “We are excited to be creating a completely new category for the carbonated soft drinks segment and are proud to be the leaders when it comes to innovations and trends in this segment,” Prakash Chauhan, chairman and managing director of Parle Agro said. The beverage, a combination of roasted coffee beans with carbonated fizz, is a first-of-its kind product in the market, the company said. The product is currently available in a 250ml canned packaging which retails at Rs.20.
