there no pre paid vcc in india, can you imagine Indian govt ever allowing this !! only vcc which work from india are from hdfc back if you have a/c there then you use net safe option on their site and make temp vcc for that amount . and yeah hsbc too. otherwise only way to send payment now is to add a cc to pp ! \o/
p.s what;s wrong with using a vcc :iomg: my pp is has been verified by vcc or last 4 yrs !! plus i always ask my frns to buy some pre paid vcc from states and i pay them via via cc or moneybrokers. very helpful things vccs when you don't want to make a payment using your real a/c.
Your information is quite outdated, now the days many banks are providing VCC including
ICICI,
ICICI is most common private bank So I will explain details about them here --
1. If you have a credit card, you can generate a Permanent VCC attached to same CC account, this VCC will be shown only in your online Account at ICICI, and can be used only for online transaction. Best part is you can set your limit for this card starting rs 1 to max limit of your physical card. SO in case of fraud your loss will be limited.
2. You can get a branchfree ICICI bank account and then with that account you get VCC, this is again same as explained above but CC is attached herewith your bank account, and max limit will be your account balance or set up by you, whichever is lower. and these VCC work with Paypal as they are permanent VCC not onetime use and throw one. As per my knowledge at currently HDFC, ICICI, Kotak, Axis, HSBC are providing VCC for sure , other banks may be doing it but I am not sure.
