When the person is asking for help regarding Ebay PayPal.

Having no PayPal account and even no credit card.

You pursuing him to get into VCC and shit.

Alright, you are right on track.

Peace!
You've a lose nut I guess.

He can't get his CC attached so I suggested him VCC's, VCC aren't some illegal thing, you can make them from your bank.

there no pre paid vcc in india, can you imagine Indian govt ever allowing this !! only vcc which work from india are from hdfc back if you have a/c there then you use net safe option on their site and make temp vcc for that amount . and yeah hsbc too. otherwise only way to send payment now is to add a cc to pp ! \o/p.s what;s wrong with using a vcc :iomg: my pp is has been verified by vcc or last 4 yrs !! plus i always ask my frns to buy some pre paid vcc from states and i pay them via via cc or moneybrokers. very helpful things vccs when you don't want to make a payment using your real a/c.

i do not think you can verify a paypal account using a temporary credit card generated by a bank... these are designed to be used for single transactions and are unlikely to be considered active for a longer period.

the verification transaction is a single time transaction too, you can remove the vcc or let it expire it does not matter after the a/c is verfied , you can add as many vccs as you want on pp.

You just need to show the PayPal that you've something to verify that you're the card holder, even if the card expires, it remains verified.

SBI India too offers a Secured Credit Card Master/Visa ( not debit). with a fixed deposit equal to the credit limit.(Rs 25000- deposit= Rs 25000 credit limit) Ok for people who are self employed and not paying the tax man.
In USA, I used to rent cars frequently. I never used my real credit cards ( $10k limit those days as I was a Priority Banking customer with most banks. all gold/platinum cards with no annual fee)
But I got a pre paid Credit card from Provident Financial .Limit $400. Annual fee $40! This card was always used for Car rental ( neighbourhood/Airport) so that I will not be stiffed from fake claims.
Getting a VCC from USA now is a great idea. Thanks for the info.

Your information is quite outdated, now the days many banks are providing VCC including ICICI,

ICICI is most common private bank So I will explain details about them here --

1. If you have a credit card, you can generate a Permanent VCC attached to same CC account, this VCC will be shown only in your online Account at ICICI, and can be used only for online transaction. Best part is you can set your limit for this card starting rs 1 to max limit of your physical card. SO in case of fraud your loss will be limited.

2. You can get a branchfree ICICI bank account and then with that account you get VCC, this is again same as explained above but CC is attached herewith your bank account, and max limit will be your account balance or set up by you, whichever is lower. and these VCC work with Paypal as they are permanent VCC not onetime use and throw one. A
s per my knowledge at currently HDFC, ICICI, Kotak, Axis, HSBC are providing VCC for sure , other banks may be doing it but I am not sure.

It may be something to do with all that nonsense between Paypal & Indian banks from a few months back. I've used mywirecard - MasterCard in the past - it may be of some value.

It has both virtual and plastic options and I believe you can use an Indian address with the account (When I used it my address was in the EU). The virtual card is free, loading the card costs a percentage of the total and being that this is based in Germany, it could make things easier than trying to use an Indian card.

Hey guys,I've ordered a figure from Hobby Search in Japan (miku) and they only accept payments via PayPal....the problem is I didn't know that RBI had so many issues with PayPal and now I'm stuck trying to pay for the figure (can't cancel) so the question is...has anyone here used EntroPay for PayPal and is it a trustable (you know what I mean) company?
