True. I can't find the option. Since the introduction of UPI Lite, the password is not required for small payments. So, Paytm may have removed this option to avoid sending payments to unknown people who request money anonymously.
i mean removing this feature does not help anyone. feature exists for a valid reason. you can pay on online stores without actually scanning some qr code and so on. this only hurts people who actually have a good use for it. Paytm's own users would still get requests made from other platforms because they would have to support the functionality as long as it is an official feature of the platform
restricting scanning qr code from your own phone to rs. 2000 transaction is another nonsense limitation. you make it so easy to abuse the platform. but you do not want to fix the problems because it would mean making the platform less enticing to use. so you just fuck it up for people who have actual valid reasons to use specific features that might be getting abused by others.
