BSNL UL 750
hello everyone ! its my first post in this forum . i am running ubuntu linux x86_64 and currently have a BSNL home UL 750 plan. the trouble is i have the UTSTARCOM bsnl modem and for the past 2 years i have the constant problem of the connection getting disconnected abruptly :madness: this happens most of time and has reduced a little over the past 2 months < changed to an older UTSTARCOM modem from my friend> but it still occurs . i thought maybe it might be a problem with my on board NIC [ Asus attarnsic ] so am testing it using tools in linux. does anybody have problems like these ?? if it indeed is a problem with the connection , the how do is solve it with BSNL ?? thanks anyway and hope i get some suggestions :imwink:

Post your SNR and attenuation values. Disconnection is due to line condition. Ask the line man to give a clean line. No joints, uninsulated parts etc.

dude if its is the old modem of 2008 type i can make sure it has some messed up firmware. In 2008 when i has bsnl my modem would disconnect every 5 to 10min .I called the lineman he gave me a clean but still it would continue to disconnect so i moved to airtel than. Now when i got the new line i used my old modem that i used 2008 .the day i got connection it again started happening was like wtf than changed this setting since than no disconnection ! dont ask me how to explain this i dont know lol

thanks for the information guys .
but i need a bit more of help here. i was using an old UT300R2u since 2008. however it was giving me too many troubles so i switched to an older UT300R2U
