I had the same horrible experience w. Airtel last year, the guy came and took the payment and then installation team denied the connection, although the refund process was initiated within 5-7 days and I received the payment on the 21st day.
UPDATE: Ok so i have received my refund of Rs 4000 on 16/09/22, after 54 days.
But another issue has been created, my dth balance currently is: -1553.90 (negative balance) and dth has stopped working since 15/09 due to low balance with tv code 6 displayed as error. @Airtel_Presence told me to pay off my outstanding amount to resume my service, lol. Will discuss this more with nodal and on twitter too and,
