I cannot find out your modem model.( to get the menu to change to G DMT )
Post screen shots of modem connection settings and modem status.

All settings tried in computer to increase speed.
Now start/ Network/Local Area Net Work / properties/
select TCP/IP
properties.
in DNS enter 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
OR here=====>>>>http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/7471/dnsqs2.jpg

Check speed.
If no improvement go back to original DNS settings.

Start run type cmd type ipconfig/all check DNS shown.Your modem already in G DMT. No change required.What is the max speed allowed for your TataIndicom BB connection? 256Kbps/512Kbps or 2 Mbps?Try for a week to notice any improvement.

My Broadband download speed is 256 Kbps. P.S: I had good pings before 5 months, But that time, the speed was 64Kbps....:( Damn, But hey, can i check my brother's modem info and try that settings? Will my ping go down if i do that?:confused: Or, do i need to change my modem or do i have to buy a Router so that my ping decease?

OK.....Can i buy a router and setup with TATA VSNL and can that procedure decrease my ping? Because all my friends who play have routers and no modem....Is it still possible?:(
