Plz do not go for Tata Indicom Broadband connection

I have being using tata indicom wired bb for almost 4 yrs now. Their service has deteriorated over the yrs and very pathetic now. I had gone for prepaid connection for 10 mnths period (unlimited package) as one last attempt to see that their service will improve. I used to come home only on weekends and download movies, songs, etc as I was working outstation. I'm not sure it is just coincidence or deliberately done that my internet connection will be down only on weekends. I'm saying this bcoz I would ask the person at home to connect on week days and check the internet connection. Every 2 weeks I had to book a complaint stating internet not working and on asking them to refund my amount for last 4 mnths when my internet connection was not restored for more than 2 weeks, they told wont be refund as I'm canceling it. I have raised to their Nodal officer also but that lady spoke rudely as I was showing my frustration. I have no choice but to wait till my validity is over.In the last 3 - 4 weeks i'm facing similar kind of an issue and have made atleast 10-12 calls. Now even the call center reps have started talking rudely. They also close the complaint before checking with the customer and when asked to re-open, they say that they do not have that option but can raise as a new complaint. My connection was restored 4 days back and now again it is not working. I have to bare with these ppl another 40 days and that would be the last. Tata Indicom bb service is worse than govt service. I have also checked with my frnds who have tata bb with unlimited package and they said the same and have moved to a different service provider.MY KIND ADVISE TO THE PEOPLE OPTING FOR WIRED BB WITH UNLIMITED CONNECTION - PLEASE TO NOT SELECT TATA BB AS UR SERVICE PROVIDER.

When i recently called their CC for new connection the executive started reading(like a robot) the script given to him. That was the first time i hung up a phone in the middle of a conversation. I thank god for letting me do that....

There plug2surf is selling like hot cakes. So they probably are no more bothering about wired broadband.But I am sure, as number of users of plug2surf wud increase, problems will start coming up there as well.

I agree. I've used tata indicom broband at two different location in mumbai for a period of a year each and the experience was very frustrating. The nodal officers are also of no help at all. I had to escalate problems to them atleast 4 - 5 times before i got any response from their side. Better stay away from them. The only time they talk to you politely is when you ask them to disconnect their services. I did have a good experience with them in bangalore which was the reason why i first took up tata after coming to mumbai but their service levels have gone down heavily over the years

i completely agree with you.. ive been using tata indicom for 4 years now and all i can say is that it is "BULLSH*T" VERY poor servicemaximum downtimeF*cking exorbitant rates.
