Pokémon Go

No my point is - for how long people will keep collecting unless there is some kind of gain in future? (not monetary but atleast some entertainment)

Ingress users can probably tell how long they continued playing the game. I think we have a few here.

I tried it but somehow while trying to catch a flying pokemon, used up all my pokemon balls. Stuck now. lol

Its just basically an pokemon skin slapped on to ingress. Hell, all the pokestops you see in pokemon go , they are all portals in ingress. Pokemon go uses the data gathered by ingress. ingress stopped accepting new portals since some time I believe

I'm one of those guys who got crazily engrossed in ingress. Joined whatsapp groups, co-ordinated attacks and went on long drives to link portals from one place to another. Made lot of friends and had lot of fun. Had to stop it coz no time/money :(

Also 99% of ingress players were IT people and rest were students.

when you touch the ball, you should see a red circle on pokemon shrinking in size. When you throw the ball when the circle is at its smallest size, you'll have more chance of capturing that pokemon. Catch 3-4 pokemons and pokestops and you should have abundant pokeballs.

Also there's a pretty active community pokemon GO India group on telegram. Will link it here if anyone's interested

The game is using existing fanbase and giving them a experience previous games did not but with time and more competition just will fade out like angry birds.

My niece was very excited to see a Pokemon game has arrived. But when she found out how it is played, she was no longer amused. The nearest Pokemon was in the sector's market.
