Post screen shots under Advanced options
NAT virtual server/port triggering
DMZ etc. of your Beetel 450TCI router.
Mention application and port details.
Para two:
Incidentally, how did you find out that both routers are same ?

I don't have the routers Beetel 450TCI or Trendchip HG520.
My interface is orange
May be I am colorblind !

Thanks. I'll report back if I face problems. I have to do the static IP thing first right?

-----

On an unrelated note I want to throttle the bandwidth speed of a user on my Home Wi-Fi network.

I want to limit his speeds (as he uses P2P a lot) without him realizing that I am doing so.

Can I do that?

He is using Windows XP and I am using OSX 10.6.1.

----------
EDIT :

My internet stops working when I change static ip address.

Here is my ip setup that causes internet to stop working.

I have to revert to my original setup which is posted below to make my internet working again

For other problem/s open new thread/s.
You can disable IPV6. ( I am not familiar with Vista or your OSX)

PARA THREE:
"Static" IP is what is entered in TCP/IP properties. say 192.168.1.10 etc.
( your Computer IP entered by you or allotted by DHCP)
not a big issue, if you use one or two systems.
If Obtain Ip address automatically is selected in TCP/IP page, there could be a problem.

So, are you saying, I should not have problems if I DO NOT set up static ip address?

So, are you saying.................
READ again my post. and quote the sentence again.

Give in Quotes only the concerned line/ statement.
Do not use full Quote and use the full post.

We get DYNAMIC IP from BSNL everytime we connect and disconnect.
Current IP Check
This is like changing our location every day.!
The Incoming signal is directed to the "Pseudo" Static IP we give.
