Problem on BSNL Broadband

HiThe link light in router goes off, and connection fails often.When link is on, net functions r normal.I'm using BSNL UL750 plan, Smartex MT882 router. OS is Windows XP.My router is set to 'always on', as I need to occationally log in from a 2nd computer. It was working fine until last month.:huh:Can any1 please identify the problem? Any help will be greatly appriciated.Thank you.:thumb:

go to http://192.168.1.1 and post a screenshot of the homepage where it mentions your SNR

Check your main telephone wire for joints and connect all telephones after the splitter.

HiLooks like I'm not autorized to post 'attachment' in this forum.Superprash2003, will u be kind enough to let me know which values u exactly need for the diagonosis? I'll note it here manually.Btw, the SNR row reads: upstream=31 db, downstream=36.5 db.Sachins, the physical connections r perfect, I guess. I've shifted to the UL750 plan 3 months ago, and it was un-problematic until recently.Thank you.

See whether you can change Mod mode to GDMT.
Use opendns 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222

well your SNR seems perfect.. try this , disconnect all telephones temporarily and then observe for some time to see if your link goes down again

HiThanx a lot for the tip, Essbebe.Superprash2003, I'll do as u say and post the feedback later.Also, the problem is not persistant. As for instance, it ran fine all day today. But somedays, the modem 'link' light goes off every 2-3 mins. Maybe this info gives a clue?Thank you.

Please check with your local exchange. There are a lot of maintenance going on these days.

Also try resetting your modem.
