Problem with Tata SKY remote

Hi Guys, I need some help. My Tata Sky remote does not work sometimes. The funny thing is that it happens in the morning mostly. I am able to change the channel using the set top box but the remote does not work. I called up the customer support and they came and changed the remote and the set up box but still the problem persists. I am getting really fed up with it. Guys, please let me know if anyone else has faced the same issue before or any idea how it can be resolved.

Even after replacing remote, it doesn't work! Then be the remote sensor inside STB is loosely connected, check it. BTW I didn't understand what's thing with performance in morning?

Can infra red signals cut each other off? Somebody might be having equipment that works in the same frequency in the vicinity (watching tv in the morning probably?) . Something like that?

Infrared (IR) signals transmit in straight line, and IR signals cannot cause interference with other IR. Probability of difference in IR performance could be that IR sensor is dry soldered on board, and eventually as day progresses, due to heat it gets contact with board and performance increases (my guess only)

Problem persists even after changing the STB and remote! Then they are not the culprits.The remote works even when directed against the ceiling or a wide angle.

what he can do is try taking TV to some other room and check if the remote works. then its mostly some kind of infrared distortion in room
