appreciate the replies, the micromax mmx400r mifi seems great as i wouldnt need another wifi router but the drawback is range is only 10m on the otherhand if i buy the TP-Link MR3220 its another good solution but i need to buy a 3G usb dongle separately and plug it in (no point buying the micromax mfi in this case as it would be more expensive than just buying a usb 3G dongle to plug into the MR3220)Is anyone aware of a wifi router which directly accepts a SIM card? This would be the cheapest and best solution as wouldnt have to buy a separate 3G usb dongle. i found one on the internet but have no idea how reliable it is "Bigpond 3G Wireless Router – 7.2" anyone have any suggestion on this or can suggest another wifi router which directly accepts a 3G SIM card? thx
routers with built in 3gmodem costs around 4500 plus....

the dongle+router combination is better... bcz if you are going out of town... u just need to plug out the 3g dongle and carry it instead of full 3g router which has built in 3g modem.
Use "Reconnect" software for this disconnection issue and stop suggesting buying alternative modemI use UMG 1831 there will be some 5 to 6 disconnection a day but it will be connected immediately bcz if reconnect... Whatever modem one goes, it may not matter as there will be a disconnection issue from MTNL as well..
thks guys .... i was quite impressed by this Bigpond 3G Wireless Router – 7.2 as you can directly insert a SIM card into it ..... but as theres no report i will probably avoid and go for 3G USB dongle + wifi router. One more question please ...... do you find this to be a better connection in terms or reliability and speed (portability is not a consideration for me) as compared to MTNL 1mbs unlimited connection for Rs1100 (including tax) per month?
