@ch@ndlerbing Yeah it's the same for me since long. My internet is performing poor since today morning. Earlier I used to get around 20-30 Mbps Downlink and 80-90Mbps uplink speeds.(My connection is 100Mbps). What's your plan?
My plan is 20 Mbps. I am getting the speed on all other speed checks. Just this Netflix server speedtest I am getting very low speeds for past many days.
@ch@ndlerbing What I believe is that maybe they've stopped their DE-CIX mumbai peering connection(Where Netflix was one of the peers). That's because I've been getting very poor speeds on international servers.
Hi all, i have same issue as well since last 15- 20 days I think. Only getting 20 mbps down but uplink looks ok , i have 150mbps plan. Also noticed most of the time googledns ping are hing , around 80-90. Not sure if it's a peering or routing issue.
If its really a peering issue ,Railtel need to fix it ASAP.
Coz i also observed the international routes are excellent where as domestic routes sucks. Most of the time peering help to improve domestic traffic handling.
I think what @WandereR said is true, on fast.com, I'm getting usual speed, but when I'm using Playstore, I'm getting upwards of 50mbps(My plan is 10mbps)
@sidhartharoul Yes, peering is mainly to improve domestic traffic, but I guess it can also improve your international traffic, but only in the same network. Like if I test my connection speed on google, I get 80-90Mbps downlink and when I perform the speedtest on GoogleFiber speedtest(US server), it shows 50-60 Mbps which is higher than any other international speed I get usually(Mostly 10-20 Mbps)
