i am not sure if realme software come with option to disable fast charging. but these new gen phones charging at 150w should have that setting. smart choice would be to use a regular pd charger unless you are in a hurry.

Who even needs 150w charging on their phone. Anything above 45w feels gimmicky

Fast charging has become a very essential feature on smartphones. Having a phone fully charged in less than 30 minutes is definitely a pretty cool feature to have. Though in most cases, we do not really need that much speed which is why it is nice to have the ability to control charging speed from battery settings rather than use a less powerful charger.

I usually stick to slow charging on my phone (this battery is now more than 2 years old) and it works out fine. But I like the ability to turn on fast charging if I am going out and the phone is not charged much. But sometimes it is just not enough with 25w (or 45w in case of S10 Lite if I am to believe the specs of the phone). So I end up carrying a power bank with me.

Check any phone reviews and there would be tons of people commenting upon how they love fast charging on these new generation of phones. Check the reviews of the OnePlus power bank which does 18w PD charging instead of OnePlus’ proprietary fast charging. People are leaving negative reviews because it does not charge their phones as fast as the wired charger bundled with the phone. They do not even read the specs but expect comparable charging to wired chargers. Incidentally, Oppo does sell a 30w power bank in india which I imagine is still nowhere close to their wired chargers.
