[1] Due to cable war, someone cuts off the cable of HATHWAY.[2] Due to power failure (in other area/society) where the extension unit has been placed?[3] It rains heavily, their external units burned off and channels stops working and that local guy takes 2-3 days to fix his connections in entire area? tv stb again and again" so i guess, you are still using old STB. I too had a same problem, i was keep bugging them and got them replaced 4 times. The 5th time i got the newer version and believe me - it doesnt have any hanging problem at all. I am fully satisfied with the performance, result and quality since last 4-5 months (since when i got them replaced with newer version). The only thing i dont like is - BIG TV - big logo. Thats all. Nothing else that i dont like about it now. Picture clarity is EXCELLENT, Sound quality is good as well, i dont have to worry about getting pissed off with local illeterate cablewala, big tv people take immediate actions (within 4-5 hours) after lodging complaint in the CC. Those are the reasons, i do not like cable wala and i like big tv. (I too wish that i may like to switch to airtel but what i think is rate wise big tv is cheaper than airtel and quality wise better than dish tv) so why not to stay with it!!! I may like to go with
Tata Sky too but they are on MPEG2. (really doesnt matter much but lets stay with future tech rather going with the flow - big tv will grow with time - give them time till 2009 end and their service will improve more)The other stuff, i think is a problem with all DTH is their add-on channels. they charge too much. So here, i agree with you. If they offer ALL (max pack, i can say) at just 900 Rs. for 6 months, you must go with Hathway.
