Reliance Big TV DTH: The equipments are from Taiwan

I happened to see the equipments of Big TV. These are made in Taiwan.

Any pictures as to how the STB or setup looks like, interface and quality of transmission

Any idea about the outputs on the back? S-Video/Component/DVI/HDMI(I am dreaming now). They need Component or HDMI for HD anyway.Also any digital Audio outs? (Optical/ CoAxial?)TIA

Forget abt HDMI, etc in Rs 1K broIf BigTV will support 3rd Party STB then we can ve better STBs of our choice like, Humax, Thomson, Manhattan, technisat, etc ..... or even the best DreamTV (a Linux based STB/you can say a small PC !)Lets hope for the best ...

Yup.. You are probably correct.. But they need HDMI/DVI or Component if they support High Definition. They might have a more expensive STB for the HD subscribers possibly.

Sorry guys I do not have any pictures of the STB and the equipments. It has not been into the market now, they are probably keeping the stock in the Reliance outlets like Reliance Money

Terrestrial signal loop out & RF re-modulation out to Tv set. Connect to RF Terminal of Tv Set

Component :
Component Video (Y/Pb/Pr) output. Connect to Component video terminal of Tv set.

LNB Input :
Digital Satelite Signal input from dish antenna

DC Jack :
DC 12V input from power Adapter

Loop Out:
Loop through output from digital tuner

USB :
Connect USB Device

Audio L & R :
Left & Right output.

Video :
Composite output to video
