Two reasons that I can think of.
1. Existing Reliance customer - stays with familiarity of a known vendor.
2. Reliance may be providing some channel important to the customer which may not be on TS. For instance, AFAIK only Reliance provides GOD channel.
and 3rd reason
for low cost monthly plans compare to Tata Sky....

Reliance HD offers Nat GEO HD, ESPN HD(Event BASED), Star Cricket HD (Event BASED), STAR Plus HD upscaled (Rs 55 + Tax) I concerts HD (Rs 30 + TAX pm)TS offers NAT Geo HD, Discovery HD, ESPN HD(Event BASED), STAR Cricket HD (Event BASED), STAR Plus HD upscaled (HD Gold pack @ Rs 50 incl of TAX)

So Reliance has 1 channel extra.....But as compared to this, d2h too is then reasonable i feel - Zee HD (On test, but visible - Upscaled), Travel XP - a Dark Horse......D2h Movies+Music, Movies Now HD, Nat Geo HD & Discovery HD......and there's 1 Test Feed, which is not visible right now.Furthermore, they recently combined "D2h Active Music HD" & "D2h Movies HD" into the single channel i mentioned - i get the feeling that its done to free up another slot for another more useful HD channel.

Yeah, who said its less!! I am just talking purely of channels......I have never said its reasonable in terms of cost of the HD DVR box!!

What is the cost of HD pack in d2h? The website is still not updated. Gosh ..

The Diamond HD pack is around 380 or so, & Platinum HD pack is 441......And of course, the standard offer of paying for 11 months, & getting 12 months subscription.the website is pathetic, but they sent me a list - no HD Add-on as yet, which is again pathetic, but they are saying that it should be available with some passage of time....Btw, its getting too Off Topic - we are talking D2h, in a Reliance thread!!

There is also Platinum pack which costs Rs 370 incl TAX without NAT GEO Music, NAT GEO ADVENTURE, NAT GEO WILD, FX, Fox Crime. Add HD channels as well so total will be more than Rs 450 +
