Reliance Jio AirFiber Root Access Guide

@error4oo4 Not sure about this. When my sister's family switched from Jio to Airtel about 2 years ago, they never asked for the router and setup box, but that's Fiber. AirFiber has an outdoor unit. So, not sure.

Okay, nevermind I managed to log in to Odu's webpage!!

All you have to do is connect the ethernet cable directly to your PC wait a few minutes and check JioODU Page , if it doesn't work you can try using a network utility tool like SoftPerfect Network Scanner and use the "Auto detect local IP range" feature and choose your ethernet port which has an IP starting from "fe80::". Once the scan is done look for an IP that looks something like this "2409:XXX:XXX:XXXX::1" just change it to http://[2409:XXX:XXX:XXXX::1], if this still doesn't work try restarting the POE or reconnecting the cable.


If everything's right you should be able to reach the odu's UI, the default username and password for the odu is Admin and Jiocentrum.

You can run your odu in three different modes EoGRE, Bridge and Router, while playing around with these modes I found that if you switch the odu's operating mode to router it assigns you a local ipv4 address and when I checked open ports for the odu it turned out port 22 becomes open in router mode, I tried ssh'ing into the odu and it indeed was open!! I tried to login as root and admin but the default password or the password I set didn't seem to work.

If any of you geniuses manage to crack it, please let me know!!!

@error4oo4 Sure!! oh yes, one more thing I actually made a blunder last time. I was actually ssh'ing into my local machine instead of the ODU and yeah.. the port 22 is actually closed so sorry about that.

@error4oo4 + do you know what's blocking ICMPv6 replies in the router ? cause I've tried to disable the firewall and it didn't work, I can open ports in my device and access them from an external network however when I try to ping my device(connected to Jio router) it doesn't send replies. I've checked the "Status -> Realtime graphs -> Connections" in luci and I do get an ICMPv6 connection.

If you know anything about this please enlighten me

I got this output on running tcpdump on wan6 port, I think the outdoor unit might be responsible for the blocked replies ?? because I don't think jio is blocking ICMP6 replies on their end considering how I can ping my phone or any other device over IPv6... dunno, I'll try digging inside it tomorrow.

Also does anybody know what's the use of the USB-C port on the outdoor unit
