Is their any way to get root access to odu

@error4oo4 our best bet at that would be reverse engineering the firmware since you said fastboot mode is a thing in the odu you could probably pull the firmware images or try checking if it has recovery mode to get the adb shell, try using ''fastboot reboot recovery'' or use some flash tool that has the capabilities to do so. I'm sure there's a way!!

Did anyone manage to use the IDU as a true wireless bridge? I can use it if I connect it to my main router via Lan, but I started on this to avoid that and mount storage via usb. I got to the point where I replaced Jio's default UI with LuCI, but it's downhill from there. No matter which tutorial I follow (yt/openwrt) it either doesn't work or bricks.

My MI 4A simply asked me if I wanted to use Lan or Wireless as the source in bridge mode, and when I selected Jio's WiFi network it simply did its thing and everything worked fine. When it comes to reverse, it's a massive headache.

I saw someone asking for a basic guide. If anyone still want it, I can make a basic step by step guide till you get root access or replace Jio's UI.

@Sumi7 hey can we extract the current esim in odu and the modified it and replace with our personal esim then flash the modified data using bootloader?

@anmol02 We're not sure how the ODU works, but what you're saying might be possible(with the risk of bricking the ODU). I think a better approach here would be changing the configs. I haven't experimented on my ODU so I suppose @error4oo4 knows better about this topic. I'll surely update you if I find anything.

Like the idu most of the options are disabled
